In order to guarantee a constant supply of electrical energy, even if the mains fails, it is necessary to have generators. But in order to have a fully functioning electricity supply, measures must also be taken to keep them ready. This is the main function of heating resistors for generating sets.
Heating resistors, also known as heating or pre-heating resistors, are an essential element in the operation of generating sets. Especially for gensets that operate exclusively by mains fails, installed in external environments, cold places or high humidity.
Its function is to transform the flow of electric current generated by the generator set into heat, maintaining a constant and balanced temperature throughout the engine block for optimum operation. This temperature is usually controlled by a thermostat. Thanks to these heating resistances it is possible to start the system when necessary, in spite of the cold that may exist or the temperature changes that exist in the environment.
Available in several models and powers, in Genset Components you will find different types of heating resistors. All of them of great quality to keep your generator set ready and able to guarantee an optimum operating temperature.
